Got my 100k ready to go and my material stacks are looking quite nice as well. One thing I must do is get lots and lots of tanned hide though. I'm thinking 1000 will probably do me. (I have 150 and a guild mate owes me 200, so I'm well on my way.)

Rune sniping, so thats what they call it, eh? That was easily the most annoying thing during Factions release... Seeing people asking 5k for minor runes... I really hope I get lucky with the runes like I did during the preview. Although it's strange, I unlocked all the minor assassin runes during the factions pve preview too...

Anyhow, aside from that, I'm all set, so I'm gonna go easy on the guild wars for the next month, methinks.

I've been saving gold, got 130k already. I sually dont take "loans" from my other characters when playing a new one, I like to keep that "new" feeling, buying armor and runes with only what that char can afford, then I take out money from the bank to get the 15k armor I like the best

ya, i've been farming trolls w/ 3x xp scrolls to hoard skill points. Now that this weekend is here i've got 30 skill pts to spend, which in reality will get me 75 elite skills, cuz every 3 spent on an elite replenishes 2. So, i'll be active this weekend in hopes to finish the elite unlocks from factions.
While doin trolls, I've accumulated 22 stacks of wood. Although it won't be used and valued as much as iron, steel, hides, and cloth, 5.5k wood never hurts.
But thats not all of course. I've also been farming wardens outside altrumm to acquire a different brand of materials, the hides, cloth, furs, etc. Iron and steel i can get from both trolls and wardens, just slower rate for those 2. Because of this, I've been buying steel in droks ID 1 recently at 100g each. Finally figured out why the Chinese sell stuff so cheap

So as of now ive got 750 steel sitting around, but will be aiming for 3k by NF release.

Can't think of much else to say, but just wanna finish up w/ factions so i'm not the one loser still playing it when every1 else is concentrating on Elona.

Besides stocking up on materials and money, get all my Canthans and my Tyrian Mesmer through the final battle with Shiro.

Actually I'm saving cash to make big profit with ectos again, as I did when Factions came out. Everybody wanted the new weapons/armors etc so the needed cash and sold their ectos. 2 weeks later the price was around 5k. I bought as many ectos as I could, sold the greens I found from capping the new skills for ectos (and people were paying loads for crappy greens just because they were new) and patiently waited for the price of ectos to go up again.

I have a feeling ectos will go down in value. With the inscriptions being added by Nightfall the prices of "perfect" weapons will go down, causing less ecto to be bought solely for trading over 100k so the price will start to fall. Or at least I hope.

Actually when Factions came out, the price of ectos went down for the sole reason everybody wanted to buy the new stuff of factions. To afford all their new armors/weapons etc, they to sell a part of the stock of ectos they had. And as everybody was more concerned by getting the new stuff than FoW armor, the numbers of buyers at trader went down as well. High offer + low demand = price dropping.

There were also people out of cash paying with ectos. I remember I found one of the crappiest green bow (the equivalent of a poisonous longbow of shelter or warding I don't remember). I WTSed it in Kaineng, a guy put 15 ectos in the trade window. Most of my trades were like this. People paying with ectos, and a lot of ectos.

But remember what makes the value of ectos is FoW armor. Players after one month and a half or 2 months will be done with NF and the PVEers will work again on getting stuff like FoW armor. Yeah, I'd bte 500 plats ectos' price will drop to 4.5/5K 2 weeks after NF is published, and will be back to the normal price (around 7K, maybe a bit more) 2 months later.

Like Im thinking of making a Female Paragon, but lets keep economy out of it please :P, (for obvious reasons)

im just trying to get as many characters through both of the other games as possible so that i can have some extra characters to work with in Elona if people are like "WE NEED A <something>!!!" ill be like "thats right, DO A BARREL ROLL"

hmm, hadnt of hear of that kinda profit b4 ^. I would go for crafting materials and stock up on those if it were me, cuz ppl are "bound" to use em if they want armor for their paragon/dervish, heh. Not every1 dyes their armor. But if enuf ppl do that instead, then more money for me

I’m pretty much set when it comes to all common crafting materials and rare crafting materials. Skill point wise all characters have over 25 or close to it.

just doin the same as most folk, collecting armour crafting materials, building up some stockpiles ready for the inevitable swings in item prices. because of their price ectos tend to be the ones that drop.

that minor rune hoarding was really irritating for factions - but with patience you could get what you needed, however I have several key runes (just in case)

Still also have a small stash of rubies and sapphires...will they have a good purpose?
